Week of 10/18 and Lesson 7 Printout

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We had a very productive week and have been getting through our curriculum smoothly. Through the pet monster writing,  students now have a better understanding about the structure of a paragraph. In the meantime, we have been working on Leader in Me worksheets and learning about how to apply each habit in our lives.

We have a field trip next Monday (your child does not need to bring English bags to school, but they will need to bring their phonics book to hand in the homework!) On Thursday we have our Halloween activity. Please remember to bring a small bag to put treats in, and everyone MUST have their uniform! Your child can wear their costumes directly to school in the morning, but needs to change after the event.

Week of 10/12 and Lesson 6.2 Printout

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to remind you of two things in today's post:

1) Halloween Celebration- In your child's communication book, we glued a notice about the upcoming Halloween Celebration. It will be held on Thursday, October 28th from 8:30-10. If your child wants to wear a costume, they may wear it directly to school or they may also change into their costume at school. Please remember that your child MUST bring in their uniform no matter what, because after the activity is over, all students must be in school uniform. If your child does not want to wear a costume, that is perfectly fine! Please have your child bring in some individually wrapped candy to share by 10/25 (Monday) and bring in a small bag on 10/28 (Thursday) to put their candy in. Thank you for your cooperation and generosity.

2) Parent Teacher Conferences- A reminder that parent teacher conferences will be held on Saturday, October 23rd. I'm looking forward to meeting many of you to discuss how we can help your child reach their potential.

-Mr. Paul

Week of 9/27 and Exam 1 Printout

 Dear Parents and Guardians,

Last week, we completed our lessons and began our exam review. All books (except grammar workbooks, students will not need this to study) have been passed back.

What yo should remind your child about for the exam:

1) Write NEATLY. If I can't read it, or can't tell what is is, it will be marked wrong.

2) Read and follow all the directions carefully. Points will be deducted for not following directions.

3) Read all the questions thoroughly and check answers carefully. Remember capital letters and punctuation marks.

4) Come to school prepared with sharp pencils and an eraser.

5) Get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and come to school on time.

6) Try your best! If you don't do well this time, work harder and study more for the second exam.

Good luck studying over the weekend!

-Mr. Paul
