Dear Parents and Guardians,

The first exam is coming up soon, and test scopes have been glued into the student's communication book. 

 We will be finishing up work and doing review in the books next week. Therefore, math and science books will go home on Thursday, 9/30 and all phonics/grammar/reading will go home on Friday, October 1st. In the meantime, you can always have your child study from the language handbook first (the 40 spelling words and 20 weekly sentences. 203A also has 20 vocabulary words to study for as well.)

We will be spending next week finishing up lessons and starting our review for the exam.

Dear Parents ,

Week 3 is over and we had our first earthquake drill on Tuesday.

For homework over the long weekend, students will be doing their first piece of creative writing about the Moon Festival. In class, we talked about the upcoming Moon Festival and discussed some activities we might do over the 4 day break. Students will need to write 5-7 sentences.

Please remember to sign your child's communication book daily. And regarding the weekly test, students will get it back on Monday, September 13th. Please sign the test and make sure your child does their corrections.

  Dear Parents and Guardians, 

We've gotten through the first 3 days of school smoothly. I hope we will all be able to work together and trust each other to have a productive school year. 

I also want to remind you that next Thursday, September 9th will be Open Day and next Saturday, September 11th will be a school day. More details will be given about Open Day later on.

In second grade, students do not glue printouts in their communication book. They will be taught to use their language handbooks, which has all the spelling words, vocabulary, and weekly sentences they need. However, for your reference, I will provide the printout every week on this blog. Below, you will find the printout for this week.
